Why not give Afterlives a try?
After 3 years of adventures on the Other Side, Afterlives recently came to a finish. If you're here for the first time, why not give us a try? Listening back, we know the first few episodes are a little rough here and there, but they spawned 2 more series and feedback from the likes of Radio Drama Revival, 19 Nocturne Boulevard, Radioplay Contests, The Sonic Society and even The Sun newspaper!
But nobody has summed it up better than one of our Forum fans: "In the end, all i can sum it up to say is awesome. this has been my
favorite audio drama for a little over a year, its something that i
have learned a few morals from, as well as used to express my
frustration (...) Daniel made some
beautiful music, Alan wrote some amazing scripts, and the voice
actors/actresses sound absolutely amazing, you would think that all of
them are professional actors."
We can't really say more than that. So dive in under the Episodes tab and find out what happens after you die ...

Episode 16 - Final Faith - is now live! So that's it - all done. The Afterlives story ahs come to an end. Alan and the whole team would like to thank everyone who has downloaded across the last 3 years, especially those good enough to email feednack or comment on the Forums. We'll be doing one last Q&A, so if you have any more questions or thoughts, feel free to email them to us or leave a message.
Alan would like to thank the following people for getting us to this point:
The Cloud Crew of Mark McKinley, Laura Gordon, Kat Harrison, Natalie Connell, Stewart Robertson and, especially, the amazing and patient Daniel Cumming. You guys took a silly little idea and made it real. That's incredible.
Iain Murnin for understanding the creative pain!
Sara Miller, Ben Allison , Thomas Scullion, Lisa Pattoni, Melissa Deans, Chris Davis and Owen Wilson for joining our journey along the way.
Sasshi, Julie Hoverson, Raymond Chan, Narie Jung and Gail Posey for superfan-ness that was utterly, utterly unexpected.
Jack at the Sonic Society, Chris Sweeney at The Sun, Lee Labit, Paul of Whocast and Big Finish fame and Fred from Radio Drama Revival for the lovely coverage.
And mostly, once again, all of you out there.
Hope you enjoyed the ride. See you on some other side, some other time. We're not done with the Net yet!
- Alan and the Afterlives team.

Ready to Go!
Dan and Alan are delighted to announce that all work on the Afterlives finale is FINISHED! Episode 14 will go up later this week but, yes, we are done! It's been a great ride and we can't wait to share the end with you. New episodes up soon!

|
Editing Ongoing!
We had a mini-disaster when the backup files for all the old episodes died with an external HD, so Alan has been desperately recreating sound effects. We're back on course now, though. The rough cut for episode 14 has been finished, with more editing and recording to happen over the next week. Look for season 3 in August - as ever, a month late. It's getting there now, though!
And ooooh, if the cliffhanger to episode 14 isn't the best we've ever had ...
|
|
Recording Underway!
The majority of episode 14 is now recorded, with recording on episode 15 due to begin in the next couple of weeks. As ever, it looks like we may launch a little later than initially thought. It seems rather fitting, though, given it has been the case since the beginning ... Expect the finale episodes in July. We guarantee it'll be worth the wait!

Finale Scripts Finished!Alan has completed his third drafts of the 3 finale scripts. Together, they form one long story called, fittingly, Laid to Rest. All featuring the biggest cast the show has had, the longest episode the show has produced (the final ep will easily go over the hour mark) and the most terrible odds our heroes have ever had to face. Recording is due to start next week and will continue over the next month or so. Editing will take place over May and the end of the Afterlives journey should be good to go live early summer. It's been 3 years in the making, but the Cloud Crew is finally drawing close to their final rest ... |
